The E-News and Notes Flash published weekly, is a newsletter available to the Illinois Association of School Administrators membership. The publication is an individualized announcement to all IASA members notifying them of an IASA Website/Newsletter update.

 Annually in the fall, the IASA publishes and disseminates a directory containing the regional listing of names and addresses of all district superintendents and other members-at-large. Individual IASA members are categorized in the directory by class of membership (i.e., Active, Retired, Associate and Student).

Collective bargaining is one of the most complex areas of school administration. Successful experiences in this endeavor involve the ability to timely orchestrate a myriad of special skills and knowledge.

In a continuing effort to provide insight into the superintendency, the IASA conducts an annual survey.

The famous House Bill 452 (P.A. 90-548), the so-called "school reform law of 1997," made many changes impacting schools. In the area of employment of administrators, the law allowed school boards to hire school administrators for a multiple year period of up to five years.

P.A. 94-1039 requires that the district superintendent complete an evaluation of the principal by February 1 of the final year of the principal's employment contract. Failure to complete such an evaluation on time means the principal's contract is automatically extended for an additional year.
